BACKGROUND:

Early season training races are back. This is a great opportunity for veteran riders to test their racing legs and beginners to gain valuable race experience. Want to get more miles in? Visit www.bikepedalers.com for information on group rides from the shop at 16th & Pine Lake to all of the training races. A portion of the race proceeds will be given to Branched Oak Lake for park improvement and maintenance support.

REGISTRATION:

Registration will be available on-site. Registration will close 15 minutes before each race.

  • Entry fee includes USAC $3.00 surcharge.
  • Men category 1, 2, 3, 4 and Women 1, 2, 3 must present valid 2010 USAC annual road license.
  • Annual and 1-day licenses will be available for purchase at the race site.
  • Junior riders race with their category. First-time racers should enter the Category 5 race.
  • No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

GENERAL RACE RULES & INFORMATION:

  • All 2010 USAC Criterium rules are in effect.
  • All participants must have a Nebraska Game & Parks. 1-day passes available for sale at park.
  • Events will be held rain or shine.
  • Place race numbers on the right side of jersey.
  • Helmets must be worn at all times while on the bike.


DIRECTIONS:

From Lincoln, take Hwy 34, turn right on Hwy 79, turn left at West Raymond Road, turn right on NW 140th Road, turn right at West Branched Oak Road and proceed to race course. Watch for signs.

COURSE DETAILS:

1-mile loop with one 90-degree left turn and a slight rise to the finish.
