Savery Dominates Omaha Weekend

Bellevue – Omaha Cyclocross Weekend at Swanson Park in Bellevue provide for some great racing and some great weather, sunny and high of 70.

In the Men’s 123 Lucas Marshall (Midwest) lead the race a the start, with Matt Tillinghast (Trek) on his wheel. Quickly the lead group work out to be Lucas Marshall, Matt Tillinghast (Trek), John Rokke (Team Kaos), Mark Savery (Trek) and Paul Webb (Midwest).

At about the half way point masters world champion cyclocross racer Mark Savery (Trek) started to move up the field from around the fifth position. Wasn’t long after that Savery was in the lead and rode solo to the line for the win.

In the Women Open race teammates Jolene Holland and Carly Thomson (Greenstreet) right from the start took the lead. Holland rode away with the win after Thomson dropped her chain putting her bike down coming out of the sand.

Other winners; Lane Bergen Cat 3, Grant Rounda Cat 4, Greg Shimonek Masters, Callah Robinson Jr Girls, and Nate Lewis Jr Boys.

The day before the winners were Mens 123 Mark Savery, Women Open Jolene Holland, Cat 3 Josh Rice, Cat 4 Grant Rotunda, Masters 40+ – Jon Nelson, Jr boys Tyler Reynolds, and Jr Girls Abbey O’Brien.
