Coming from a respected company, the Micro Maxi Deluxe 3-wheel scooter for kids isn’t just great for kids, it’s great for adults, too. This scooter is light enough to be carried around easily but sturdy enough to take some abuse.

My two children both have Micro scooters (the two-wheeler and the three-wheeler). You can check out the Micro scooter for adults if you’re interested.

2. BELEEV V1 Scooters

Our rating: 9 / 10

Pros:

  • This scooter is one of the most user-friendly kid’s two-wheel scooters out there. The sturdy steel frame has adjustable height which allows it to grow with your child, making it a great investment.
  • Its polyurethane tires, PU LED lights, and real metal fenders make for a very durable ride. It also has a hand-brake feature (recommended for kids ages 4 and up) that will prevent falls.
  • The scooter weighs less than 22 pounds, making it super easy for kids to handle and to carry.

Cons:

  • This scooter doesn’t have a kickstand. Instead, it has a footrest that doubles as a kickstand. This may be a con for some parents.
  • Since there’s no kickstand, some parents find it difficult to use this scooter on inclined surfaces.

BELEEV V1 Scooters stands out as one of the best kids scooter in the market with its sturdy design and easy handling. This kids scooter for girls and boys is also one of the best quality scooter that you can get for the money. This design is also versatile as it can be used by either children or adults.

The Hikole scooter is one of the most ridiculously inexpensive kids’ scooters you’re going to find, but you wouldn’t know it just by looking at it.

This versatile kids’ scooter comes in a variety of boy or girl colors so you can choose the one that matches your little one’s personality to a T.

4. Razor Power Core E90 Electric Scooter

Our rating: 8 / 10

Razor Power Core E90 Electric Scooter

Check Price on Amazon

Pros:

  • 6 mph max speed, good for kids and adults alike
  • Integrated LED headlight
  • 45 minutes continuous use on a single charge
  • Two power settings
  • Removable battery and hand crank charging ports

Cons:

  • The handlebar is too low for many parents
  • Front wheel feels too light and may feel like it’s going to detach
  • Charger is susceptible to breaking

I recommend this Razor to kids and adults alike. This particular model can go as slow as 2 mph, sufficient for the littlest kids. The top speed is 6 mph, which is fast enough to keep many adults entertained. You can also adjust the speed settings to provide less or more speed for younger or adult riders.

The right handlebar has a speed adjustment dial with I, II, and III to allow you to change the speed based on your preference.

There are two power modes- Power (Green) and Eco (Red). Power provides more agility and torque, whereas Eco mode provides a smoother ride.

5. Radio Flyer My 1st Scooter

Our rating: 8 / 10

Radio Flyer My 1st Scooter

Radio Flyer offers a bunch of creative scooter toys for toddlers and older kids, however, the Scooter, Toddler Toy is one of those I would highly advise against ever getting for your two-year-old unless you want electronics all over the house. Last time I checked not too many children are known for their hand to eye coordination or even the concept of the left over right system!

The Scooter works exactly like you would expect it to work. It has a push button to start the motor and the sound effect isn’t too loud or obnoxious. You have a red plastic base which is both the scooter and the handlebar for the toy and a blue plastic platform which is the platform where the child stands and pushes the button to make the toy move.

This scooter is probably best suited for a child 3 and older because they will understand the concept of it in an instant. Battery life is an issue here and the over all look of the toy is a bit simplistic in all honesty. So I suggest this one for just one occasion and not something you can expect a child to play with on a regular basis.

6. Globber – 3 Wheel Scooter

Our rating: 8 / 10

Globber - 3 Wheel Scooter

This scooter was created by parents who wanted to help their own kids learn to ride a scooter.

It is basically a tricycle that allows parents to help their kids learn without them worrying about them falling backwards.

It has a large front wheel that gets the kids moving and a small tail wheel to keep them from falling back wards and a deck that is wider to help balance.

7. Osprey Dirt Scooter

Our rating: 7 / 10

Osprey Dirt Scooter

The Dirt Scooter is one of the most durable scooters I have ever used. It runs like a beast on pavement or concrete and can climb really steep hills very easily. The Dirt Scooter is great because you can adjust the riser bar to anywhere from 12.5 inches to 27 inches in height.

I love the frame of the Dirt Scooter because it absorbs most of the shocks that the road has to offer. No matter how mean and rough the ride gets, the Dirt Scooter stays smooth and doesn't bother my hands. Weight-wise, the Dirt Scooter is on the heavier side, but it is still extremely manageable to carry around.

The scooter boasts of a hand-made high quality alloy deck that is perfectly made to fit adult riders, over the child-sized deck that comes on the cheaper kids scooters on the market. The deck is designed with standover clearance for adults with a smaller frame or children with a large frame.

8. Razor A5 LUX Kick Scooter

Our rating: 7 / 10

Razor A5 LUX Kick Scooter

Pros:

  • Durable Razor A5 Kick Scooter.
  • Sturdy steel construction with urethane deck and ABEC 5 Speed Heavy Grade precision bearings.
  • Switchblade T-tube with folding mechanisms and a quick fold handle.
  • Folding mechanisms for the deck.
  • Large pneumatic wheels.
  • Braking System (requires handlebar stoppers to be included).

Cons:

  • Folding mechanism requires more strength than typical folding scooters making it harder and riskier to fold for young children.
  • Learning to ride this kick scooter may be challenging for smaller children.

The Razor A5 LUX Kick Scooter is one of the best in 2020. It is made for the younger kids who are interested in using the scooters for the first time.

One of the best things that I have observed that is present in this scooter is the folding mechanisms for the deck. This feature is not seen a lot in other brands of the scooters.

The scooter comes in bright colors, and the construction is of steel. This means that the scooter is quite rigid and sturdy. Moreover, the urethane deck also makes the scooter more durable.

9. Mongoose Expo Youth Scooter

Our rating: 7 / 10

Mongoose Expo Youth Scooter

Check Price on Amazon

Pros:

  • Very affordable price
  • Highly recommended by users
  • Easy to ride

Cons:

  • It is not built as well as other scooters
  • Doesn’t have many color variants according to user feedback
  • Some users find it hard to ride and control

This is the oldest scooter in this list but you shouldn’t discount the Mongoose Expo Youth Scooters because of that.

It is still a favorite among buyers and if you are buying for your 9 year old that is less interested in stunts, this scooter should be on top of your list.

This scooter will do everything you should want for your child at that age. The Expo offers a smooth and stable ride and will fit your child for years to come with its fully adjustable handlebars.

10. Pulse Performance Safe Start 3-Wheel Electric Scooter

Our rating: 6 / 10

Pros:

  • A smooth ride
  • Easy to ride
  • The lights are a major selling point

If your kids want to ride scooters, but you are concerned about the safety aspect, this scooter might be the best choice. It has lights on the sider and a great handlebar break to ensure safety.

It’s incredibly easy to ride, even for beginners. In fact, smooth riding is something that everyone is going to love about it.

The handlebar carry bag is great for all parents because you can fold it down and then carry it on your back. It’s an incredibly convenient storage feature that you can’t find on many other scooters.

Pros:

  • Lightweight
  • The tallest handlebar
  • 180mm 6-inch urethane wheels
  • The adjustable seat
  • Sufficient battery life

Cons:

  • Not suitable for the professional riders
  • The AV is not supported

As one of the bestselling electric scooters for kids and adults, the Swagtron T5 Pro Scooter delivers.

As the first company to introduce an electric drivetrain in the scooter fork, Swagtron continues to innovate. It’s the highest rated on-road scooter, and it is easy to understand why.

Out of the box, the first thing I noticed is the impressive engineering and build quality.

12. Chilli Reloaded Pro Scooters/Pro Scooter

Our rating: 6 / 10

Chilli Reloaded Pro Scooters/Pro Scooter

Check Price on Amazon

Pros:

  • A high quality scooter built for years of fun and use
  • The scooter is built from high quality components
  • The frame is just under 39 inches, which will fit most larger children between the ages of 5 and 9.
  • The scooter base is 27 inches wide, making it a good choice for larger kids as well

Cons:

  • It is one of the heaviest scooters in this guide at 17 pounds, so it may be a little difficult for kids to keep under control at high speeds.
  • Because most users under the age of 14 will be riding this scooter in their backyard or neighborhood, the steel framed scooter may be overkill.

The Chilli Reload Pro scooter is a great choice for children between the ages of 5 and 9 that enjoy the thrill of tricks and stunts while still on two wheels. The scooter is built from high quality components, like a strong steel frame, aluminum handlebars, and an extra wide deck, making it a heavy duty scooter that can handle jumps, slides, and plenty of wear and tear.

The steel frame of this scooter makes it heavier than others on this list at 17 pounds. It also means that the scooter may be a little less maneuverable at high speeds, but that doesn’t mean that this scooter isn’t fun to ride.
